Me and a Photo Op

By Ann Curran

Somebody ought to catch that moon,
a great white globe with aura
wider than itself, trapped, tangled
in a crisscross of tree branches
sitting above a hill of white
houses painted by its last light.
Not me. My battery is dead.

From the book, Me First by Ann Curran, Lummox Press, 2013.
